Missed Open Enrollment?

Outside Open Enrollment, you can enroll in or change a Marketplace plan only after a qualifying life event. You usually have 60 days from the event to pick a plan, and some events need documents to confirm them.

ProtecWise clients can upload these documents securely in the client portal.

Common qualifying life events

  • Losing other health coverage, such as job-based coverage or Medicaid
  • Moving to a new ZIP code or county
  • Getting married
  • Having a baby or adopting a child

Medicaid and CHIP don't have an enrollment period. You can apply any time.
